Leaning into New Creation

So many of us have been living in the COVID-19 fog. Yet, God is beckoning us to come out from the fog and into the work that is happening all around us to make things new! The Church needs all of us actively engaged in the work of partnering with God for the transformation of this world! Good Samaritan UMC will be hosting a 3 night worship extravaganza where Rev. Dr. Latricia Scriven, Bryant Manning, and Rev. Michelle Shrader will be bringing messages that will help to inspire us in this new year ahead. Commit to all three nights if you are able, God has a message for each of us and this invitation is larger than any one church.

You are invited to three nights of worship, please join us for a meal at 6:30 with worship from 7:00pm to 8:00pm all three nights. Reservations are required and can be made HERE

For more information, email REV. MICHELLE SHRADER

Homeless Mats
Third Saturday of every Month, 1:00pm
Good Samaritan Foyer

Did you know that while plastic bags can be recycled, they require a different process that the City of Tallahassee does not provide listing plastic bags as “Not for Recycling?” Join us as we work to transform those plastic bags into portable sleeping mats for the homeless, helping the environment and the homeless at the same time!

Did you know each mat can take as many as 800 plastic bags to complete?! Bag donations can be dropped off at the Academy M-F or at Church on Sunday mornings.

Blessing Bags

We have started a new outreach and need your help! We are in continuous need of items and/or financial donations to assist in filling each Blessing Bag for the homeless and less fortunate. Each Blessing Bag contains one of each of the following items:
Granola bars, peanut butter crackers, small water bottles, tooth paste, tooth brush, socks, mask, bar of soap, wash cloth, small hand sanitizer, razor and deodorant.

If you would like to assist in the distribution of completed Blessing Bags they can be picked up on Sunday mornings.
